I failed to get a picture before we knocked the railings out. Here, they're already on the ground.

This is as good a picture as any to describe the "before" scene.

After cutting off a piece of the railing, we got the jack out of our truck and raised the canopy slightly so we could see what was going on.

Using the crowbar to reveal an old bird's nest and ancient honeycomb.

Getting in the roof, we find 2 large bolts and several thick nails holding the Tikis in place.

We start in with a wrench to try to get the bolts out.

One down.

Using the crowbar to remove more drywall.

David looks on.

A picture looking inside. After all the materials were being removed from the anteroom, this painting greeted visitors in the last days.

Work begins on the left pole- first the drywall gets knocked out.

We've got pannels from the ceiling and a light fixture down.

By now David has left and returned with a massive saw that can cut both wood and metal. Here we preparing to cut a roof support for when the poles are out.

Not load-bearing but extra support, tucking it in under the roof beam.

Pounding it in.

With the brace in, sawing in the gap between roof and pole-cutting the nails.
