A quiet evening at the Islander just the two of us was followed the next night with a 'one night only' get together with the tribe in Seattle. Amazingly, it escalated into a mini Tiki crawl, first to Dogbytes and Todd's Rongorongo room, then off to Puamana & Selector Lopaka's Back yard Bali Hai, finishing off a whirlwind evening at Thai Ku with excellent Thai food, serious atmosphere and most importantly, the wonderful and exotic sounds of Selector Lopaka DJing the night away! We're MUCH indebted to our Seattle Ohana for showing us such a fantastic time! Annual event I tell you! Make it happen!

Puamana & Selector Lopaka's magnificent backyard retreat. An exotic architectural wonder! Now of course, we managed to hit a sunny day in Seattle, but with the metal roof, this retreat sounds exotic even on a rainy day.

As the grande finale to our Tiki night in Seattle with the Jet City Ohana, we headed over to Thaiku to feast and enjoy while Selector Lopaka spun the soundtrack to MY life! He DJs there on Tuesday nights- be sure to check it out if you're ever in Seattle!

Near the end of the evening, we had a late dinner in the Tiki lounge, but we did manage to explore the rest of the Islander. Excellent food, and a few 'tasteful' Tikis. A very Aloha vibe.

Dogbytes and Todd's Rongorongo Room (and Patio, which I failed to photograph- D'oh!) Truely a TREAT of a homebar- from the wonderful fake fishtanks to the WALL of tropical plants! We were fortunate enough to get to try the PROTOTYPE of Todd's new signature drink, the Rongorongo Ricky! MMMMMMMMMMMMMmmm! Wonderful hosts, and true embassadors of the NW tribe!
